Automotive Technician
Description of the role:
The Automotive Technician will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on vehicles. This includes diagnosing and fixing mechanical issues, conducting inspections, and conducting routine maintenance. The technician will work with various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Performing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Repairing and replacing faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Conducting routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Performing inspections and identifying potential issues
- Keeping accurate records of all work performed
- Following safety procedures and protocols
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an automotive technician
- Good knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Summary:
Mark Toyota of Plover is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Plover, Wisconsin. As a member of our service department, the Automotive Technician will be responsible for performing professional and efficient automotive repairs and maintenance on a variety of makes and models. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with competitive salary and benefit
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake jobs, alignments mount tires and minor repairs
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot vehicle issues
- Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain repairs and provide estimates
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician with ASE certifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
- Must have own tools and be willing to constantly update and maintain them
