Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bodyshop Painter to join our team. As a Bodyshop Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle surfaces to ensure they match the original factory finish. You will work closely with the rest of our bodyshop team to repair collision damage, restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition, and deliver high-quality paintwork.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primer
- Mix paint to match vehicle color and apply paint coats using spray guns
- Apply clear coats to protect paint finishes and create a glossy appearance
- Blend paint to match surrounding panels and ensure a seamless finish
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality and make any necessary touch-ups
- Keep work area clean and organized, and maintain paint equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
- Meet deadlines and work efficiently to complete jobs within estimated timeframes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Painter in an automotive repair setting
- Strong knowledge of automotive painting techniques, materials, and equipment
- Proficiency in color matching and blending
- Attention to detail and precision in paint application
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor
- Certification in auto body repair and painting is a plus
