ACCEPTING RESUMES
Precision Imports is looking for a Service Writer with above-average communication, organization, and workflow management abilities.
We’re an established import repair shop that’s accepting resumes for our front office position. We have a well-organized process, useful and clear communication methods, and an enjoyable customer base. We enjoy plentiful referrals and a high level of trust with our customers, this translates to lots of profitable work and an efficient, enjoyable, workday. We work on 90% imported vehicles, the top brands we service are BMW, Audi, VW, & Subaru. We do NOT do tires and alignments, we have a lower car count and higher average RO business model.

The service writer spends the majority of their time in the front office, although they frequently visit the repair shop. Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Schedule appointments, take orders, monitor service progress, calculate charges, and process payments.
- Greeting customers, tagging keys, entering vehicle details, recording customer concerns, and directing work to an available technician
- Overseeing and managing the shop scheduling and workflow, including loaner car availability
- Consulting with technicians about needed repairs and alternatives that can be offered to customers
- Writing service estimates for review with the customer. Ensuring proper parts pricing and labor times are used
- Informing customers of the repairs required to resolve their concerns, as well as informing them of other potential issues and maintenance required
- Answering customer questions about service outcomes and consulting with technicians when necessary
- Researching, ordering, and tracking parts for vehicle repairs
- Processing and tracking parts returns/credits
- Informing customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up
- Collecting payment for completed repairs and ensuring prompt vehicle delivery
- Addressing customer concerns and navigating the best solution for the customer and company
- Overseeing the cleanliness and refreshments of customer waiting areas
