Experienced Trailer Technician
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance: Routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and replacement of parts and components
- Inspections: Regular inspections to ensure the trailer is roadworthy, including brake systems, tires, lights, and other essential parts
- Repairs: Damage repair, brake work, and complex repairs, such as specialized trailer equipment like refrigerated units
- Welding: Welding for major jobs
- Calibrations: Using diagnostic equipment to perform calibrations
- Play a leading role in implementing and promoting workplace safety and professionalism
- Demonstrate positive work attitude in a team atmosphere
- May perform other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and completing work with a sense of urgency
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sense of sound is required.
- Sense of balance is required.
- Limb and finger dexterity is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform twisting, turning, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling motions.
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
